Online Focus Group Closes Early

April 27th, 2007

The online focus group that I had been participating in over the last three days has apparently closed a little earlier than expected.

The board was very active last night, but when I went to log in this morning, I got a screen that said that the focus group had closed and would not be accepting any more responses. This was somewhat of a disappointment because I was hoping that I could access the board one last time so that I could answer some of last night’s follow-up questions and extract some of my content out of there to save for later. According to the email that I had received, the board was supposed to be open until 5:59 p.m. on April 27, which is about 10 hours from now. The email had also said that it would be “actively staffed” only through April 26 however, so perhaps this is why they decided to close it down.

Yesterday afternoon, the moderator had posted a new set of questions to the board that were mostly reiterations of some of the follow-up questions from the banking issues section. Most of the participants (including myself) were answering these late yesterday afternoon and into the evening, but I’m not sure if all of the other participants had a chance to answer these new questions before the board closed down. At any rate, I was able to answer all of the questions that were required to fulfill my commitment and got some pretty good replies in as well, so hopefully I will receive my $60 honorarium.
