Karlonia Accepted for OpinionOutpost.com Affiliate Program

November 25th, 2007

I have now added another reliable paid survey company and affiliate program to the list: OpinionOutpost.com. I have been a member here for a few months and have already been paid once ($20 check) from them. Like some of the other survey companies, although they pay for referring other members, you do not get an automatic referral link just for joining; you must apply for the affiliate program separately and have an actual website. You can join Opinion Outpost survey panel (and eventually the affiliate portion as well) by clicking through on the banner below.

After waiting through an initial testing period to make sure that the company was legitimate and actually paid its members, I finally applied for the affiliate program and recently received an acceptance email:

Welcome to the Opinion Outpost’s Affiliate program! We are contacting you to let you know that your website has been approved.

Your can find your campaign tracking link by logging into the Opinion Outpost affiliate site. Instructions for logging in are found below.

Your unique tracking link points to Opinion Outpost and ensures that you earn credit for every person who links from your site and joins our panel. Remember we pay $1.00 for every new member who registers and confirms their membership. Please be sure to place this campaign tracking link on your website as soon as possible.

To login to our affiliate site use your username (e-mail address) and password created during registration and click on ‘Log In’ at: www.OpinionOutpost.com/affiliate

Once you are logged in you can view current numbers, create new campaigns (tracking links), as well as view and download banner ads (HTML code, or images).

If you have any questions or require assistance, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you for joining Opinion Outpost’s Affiliate program,

Greg Shuey

The program is free to join for both regular members and affiliates. They seem to send survey invitations fairly frequently (I have received an average of 2-4 per week), giving us ample opportunities to make a little extra money. Opinion Outpost uses an internal account and points system to keep track of earnings, where every 10 points equals one dollar. Once you have at least 50 “opinion points” or $5 in your account, you can request payment.

One important tip to remember when taking the surveys is that they will ask for email verification at the beginning AND the end of each survey, even if you “screen out” and do not qualify for the full reward. At first, I did not enter my email at the end of the first few surveys because the page looked exactly like the one we see when logging into our accounts. I mistook this page to mean that I had already finished the survey and had been logged out by being redirected to the members login page. However, I discovered later that in order to get the points credited for a completed survey, we must enter our email address again at end. After doing so, a confirmation message that says how many points were credited to your account will appear. At this point, it’s safe to leave the site and still get credit.

For most surveys, you will need to get through the whole survey to qualify for points, but occasionally it is possible to receive partial credit if you screen out early. This is a good feature because one of the major annoyances with paid survey companies is that sometimes they will take you halfway through a relatively long survey, and just when you think that you’re about to complete the whole thing and receive the reward, they suddenly screen you out because of some unknown variable. This kind of thing really frustrates me and usually makes me think that they are wasting my time.

Fortunately, this seldom occurs with Opinion Outpost. If I spend more than five minutes on a survey, I will almost always wind up with some points at the end as compensation for my time. This makes the whole paid survey experience much more enjoyable because I feel like it’s actually worth the effort as long as I can gradually add to my revenue without eating up too much time in the process.

Meanwhile, on a somewhat related note, I have just received my second check from Pinecone in the mail while I was writing this post. You can read my latest update on Pinecone Research here.

This site explained to me how to make money online doing surveys and gave all the good websites to access them. I hope it helps you.

Good information on OO. I am currently an affiliate member and in about 2 weeks I have generated about 700 sign ups, so I’m waiting to see if they do indeed pay.

They better pay me the $700 because I worked hard for it.

    Nice site though.

    Hi guys,
I realize this is a very old thread and got on the response but I have been trying to register for the oo affiliate program and can’t find anything. If anybody gets this, I would really appreciate a heads-up on where to locate it.

    Thank you,
    Brandon
