chicago-wrigley-field-place-interest.jpgThis article by Rohit Patel is supposed to be a description of Chicago’s five biggest attractions for tourists. Note that the original version of the text that was sent to me referred to Chicago as “a wonderful state in the United States of America”, so you might want to take this one with a few metaphorical grains of salt. Meanwhile, if you happen to live in this particular region and want to nominate another one of this city’s attractions as a top place of interest, you can do so in the comment section at the end of the article.

Chicago, as we all know is a wonderful city in the United States of America. It is often called ‘The Windy City’ owing to its location, which is exposed to the Lake Michigan, one of America’s 5 greatest lakes. It is the largest city in the state of Illinois and the area that is still often referred to as the “Midwest” of the United States. It is also the 3rd highest populated city in America with more than 2.8 million dwellers. This city attracts an average of 45 million visitors per year. Here are some of the places, which will prove why you need to visit this beautiful city Chicago.

Navy Pier:

This place of tourist interest served as a major site of water transportation way back in the 1980s in Lake Michigan. It is now distinctly one of the most popular places to visit by the tourists. The pier hosts a huge collection of entertainment channels and spectacular events on a regular basis. One can take a look at the 150 feet tall Ferris wheel, before arriving at the pier. Apart from this, several other attractions include golf courses, carousels, several indoor activities, etc. This also makes it a must-see for children. Also the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre deserves a mention, which is liked by several adults.

Adler Planetarium and Astrology Museum:

There is no better way to catch the exquisite view of Chicago’s skyline than the Adler Planetarium and Astrology Museum which is situated on Lake Michigan. The Adler Planetarium is known as America’s first planetarium. The all-digital 3 stories tall Star Rider Theatre and the Sky Theatre can also be enjoyed.

Sears Tower:

The Sears Tower is considered to be one of the tallest sky-touching buildings in the United States. It acts as a complete jewel for the Chicago Skyline. Travelers often hook up in this attraction spot, owing to its personified symbol for the city. It is considered to be one of the best locations in Chicago. When touring the tall tower on a clear sunny day, the normal eye give access to 50 miles of sightlines, which includes Michigan, Indiana and even Wisconsin

Lincoln Park Zoo:

It is one of the only remaining free traditional academies and is accessible every day of the year. Tourists can choose to get rides on Endangered Species Carousel, Lincoln Park Zoo Express Train, swan boat, etc. Travelers can learn from the jubilant exhibitions and also about the animals. Several gift shops and posh restaurants are also present which gives tourists even better choice.

For those travelers visiting Chicago who are a big shopping addict, this is just the apt place as Chinatown boasts of a huge number of shops, restaurants, and neighborhood events. This field of the city may open its doors at any point of time to unleash the breath-taking parades, amusing festivals and different holiday celebrations. Innumerable tourists prefer a halt at this place to enjoy a great deal on the city-associated mementos and other purchasing stuffs.
